According to TIME, Donald Trump spent hours asking Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, how Venezuelans would react if the U.S. captured President Nicolás Maduro — weeks before the operation that resulted in Maduro’s capture.
A U.S. official told TIME that Grok predicted many Venezuelans would celebrate Maduro’s downfall.
The report also says Grok was later used by the U.S. military through the Pentagon’s “Gov Grok” system during the Iran war to help deploy and strike targets.
IMPORTANT: The reporting does NOT say Grok ordered or directly advised Trump to invade Venezuela. It says Trump consulted the AI about the likely reaction to Maduro’s capture.
AI is now reportedly being used not only to answer questions — but also in high-level political and military decision-making.
