Osun State — Coordinators of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) across the Osun West Senatorial District have passed a vote of confidence in the Senator representing Osun West, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, expressing their support for his continued representation in the National Assembly.

The position was reached following consultations among youth coordinators across the various Local Government Areas within the Osun West Senatorial District.

According to the coordinators, their decision was based on their assessment of the Senator's representation, engagement with constituents and attention to issues affecting young people and communities across the district.

The youth leaders said they believe that continuity in representation would provide an opportunity for ongoing programmes, constituency engagement and youth-focused initiatives to receive further attention.

Speaking on behalf of the coordinators, a representative stated that the vote of confidence was intended to demonstrate their appreciation of the Senator's engagement with the youth constituency and to encourage continued interaction between elected representatives and young people.

The coordinators further called for greater youth participation in governance and urged political leaders to continue creating opportunities for young people to contribute meaningfully to the development of Osun State and Nigeria.

They emphasized that their position represents the outcome of their consultations and their assessment of issues affecting the youth constituency across Osun West.
